The Colour of Ink

Soraya was approached by film director Brain D. Johnson to feature in his documentary revolving around ink maker Jason Logan, who forages natural ingredients to create unique inks. In the film, Logan takes on the challenge of creating a white ink for Soraya using Carrara marble dust. This marble, celebrated for its use in Michelangelo's sculptures, is not typically transformed into liquid form. The documentary captures the fascinating process and reveals the artistry behind this one-of-a-kind ink as it is brought to life.
